Packer:

JOB SUMMARY: The Packer 1 (3 and 6 lane Packaging) position is responsible to learn and operate the 3 lane packaging machines. Once mastered, they will learn 6 lane packaging machines and their respective robots. Last, learn the Insert Cobot, Checkweigher and x-ray processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : • Follow Edesia's Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's), work in compliance to all company safety, quality and production procedures. • Learn and understand basic 3 lane machinery operations and functions, such as: o Turning machine and conveyor on and off o Making minor adjustments to the Nova dosing units. o Operate Form-Fill-Seal machine to produce sachets o Hand pack and weigh boxes to assure product weight is within spec., referencing sachet tolerance weight sheets for guidance. o Clean jaws and blades, change and tighten screws. o Change film, use Film Jack according to company safety policy. o Check accuracy of Box printers and sachet printers, clean the printers when needed. • Inspect sachets for quality compliances, such as: o print legibility and accuracy o seal quality, subject to leaks, spills o sachet weight tolerances and performing weight checks • Monitor and troubleshoot basic issues with packaging equipment, strong communication skills with Lead and Supervisor when issues persist and require maintenance assistance. • Use daily basic tablet for Quality data documentation and complete accurately in real time. • Responsible for station organization, cleanliness of line, conveyor belt, packaging machine and area surrounding machine, robots, and floors. Completing daily and weekly Master Sanitation Schedule jobs and documentation. Use of cleaning tools, such as brooms, mops, cleaning chemicals, as needed. • Communicate with team members through continuous use of a walkie talkie.

QUALIFICATIONS : Required: • Must be 18 years or older • Proficient written and spoken English • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for short distances • Basic computer and tablet knowledge for data input Preferred: • Prior experience working in food manufacturing facility • Accommodate overtime schedules as requested • High school diploma/GED equivalent
