    Law Firm Client in Downtown Houston is seeking a highly motivated Pricing Analyst to support the Financial Services department.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop pricing proposals in collaboration with Financial Services, Business Development, and Partners by analyzing historical cost, leverage, and matter information.
    • Perform predictive scenario / sensitivity analysis and modeling to assess the impact of proposed initiatives.
    • Assist the Director of Pricing and Practice Management with the development and administration of pricing systems.
    • Monitor the performance of selected client matters, as directed, and compare financial and operational performance against internal and external benchmarks.
    • Analyze firm, department, practice group and client matter financial reporting to identify trends and problem areas.
    • Compare financial and operational performance against internal and external benchmarks.
    • Research and analysis related to other assigned financial projects, including monitoring of trends in support of the firm rate-setting and review process.
    • Maintain billing rate information in Firm systems and address questions as needed.
    • Report on the status of various department initiatives and metrics to the Chief Financial Officer and other key stakeholders.
    • Other projects and/or duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a business-related degree is required.
    • A minimum of two years’ experience in a law firm or professional services firm in areas related to financial analysis is strongly preferred; other similar work experience will be considered.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with the Elite and Redwood systems a plus.
    • Must be organized, analytical and detail oriented.
    • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver quality work product in a deadline driven environment; must be willing to work additional hours as required during peak times.
    • Must be team oriented, yet also able to be self-sufficient and work independently.
    • Ability to interact with internal and external customers and team members employing a high degree of tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Must be flexible and able to work additional hours as necessary.
