Overview: We are seeking a Weapons Department Specialist to provide technical and analytic support to the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier ROC. This role is critical in the management, inspection, and readiness of conventional surface and air-launched weapon systems.
Key Responsibilities:
System Readiness: Assess weapon system requirements and their impact on a CVN's ability to certify for deployment.
Technical Assistance: Provide on-site engineering and technical service for weapon system stowage, handling, and maintenance.
Modernization Planning: Develop logic trees to represent mission area readiness and support weapon-related ship alterations and repairs.
Training and Oversight: Oversee technical training, inspections, and the conduct of watch teams regarding handheld and crew-served weapons.
Resource Management: Monitor critical supply requirements and coordinate security force weapons and ammunition issues.
Trend Analysis: Integrate weapon system and elevator data to forecast potential fleet and force-level deficiencies.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in planning and administering Force Weapons and weapon system readiness.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in operation, diagnosis, repair, and safety of air and surface-launched weapon systems.
Prior USN Weapons Enlisted Rating or Officer preferred.
Recent technical management experience with Naval weapons requirements (within the last 5 years).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
