We are seeking a seasoned web copywriter with experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or commercial architecture to write and/or refresh up to 30 landing pages by August 11, 2025, with potential for long-term blogging work thereafter.
This is a client-facing writing role ideal for a strong communicator who can handle structured deadlines, technical input, and real-time feedback.
Scope and Duration
15 hours/week (65/month) for the first month and then ramp down to the standard 10 hours/week (45 hours/month).
Key Responsibilities
- Write and/or refresh up to 60 landing pages (~500+ words each) across 4 site sections: About, Equipment, Systems, and Services.
- Repurpose and update content from existing pages while maintaining brand voice and SEO integrity.
- Draft short intro content for download-heavy pages like whitepapers or specifications.
- Work from a provided sitemap, spreadsheet notes, and basic homepage brand messaging (“Built Right the First Time”).
- Incorporate SEO keywords as provided by the web development partner (when available).
- Maintain consistent tone and quality across pages; contribute to establishing a refreshed brand voice.
- Collaborate asynchronously via Google Docs, email, and video calls with the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of web copywriting experience, ideally with construction, industrial, or B2B clients
- Strong ability to translate technical product information into customer-friendly language
- Familiarity with digital marketing and basic SEO concepts (e.g., headers, keyword use, clear CTAs)
- Comfortable working with minimal style guidance and iterating on brand voice
- Strong organization and self-management skills to hit a structured deadline
Nice to Have
- Background or experience in the aquatic industry (e.g., pool construction, aquatic architecture)
- Experience with brand voice development
- Familiarity with tools like Procore or similar construction project platforms
