    Location: Remote or Local (Laguna Hills, CA Preferred)

    Position Type: Contract / Project-Based with Potential for Ongoing Work

    About Us:

    Creative STEAM Academy is a growing K–12 homeschool learning center offering innovative, project-based education. We’re seeking a talented Squarespace Web Designer/Developer to help us take our site to the next level with enhanced functionality—specifically custom login portals for families, teachers, and students.

    What We’re Looking For:

    A detail-oriented and creative web professional who:

    Has expert-level knowledge of Squarespace, including advanced customization and third-party integrations.

    Can design and implement secure, user-friendly login portals or gated content areas (leveraging Squarespace Member Areas or custom code/API integrations).

    Understands UX/UI best practices and can align design with the unique needs of an educational community.

    Can collaborate with our admin team to bring ideas to life while improving back-end functionality.

    Responsibilities:

    Audit and enhance our existing Squarespace website layout, structure, and navigation.

    Design and implement custom login/portal features for multiple user types (parents, teachers, students).

    Integrate scheduling tools, document libraries, forms, and private pages into member areas.

    Ensure mobile responsiveness and overall site speed and performance.

    Provide training or documentation for site administrators when needed.

    Troubleshoot bugs and suggest creative tech solutions.

    Required Qualifications:

    Proven experience designing and developing on Squarespace (7.1).

    Familiarity with Squarespace Member Areas, custom code injections, and third-party tools like Zapier, Google Workspace, Calendly, or PayPal integrations.

    Strong understanding of web security, particularly for user portals and private content.

    Portfolio showcasing relevant design and functionality work.

    Excellent communication skills and ability to manage timelines.

    Nice-to-Haves:

    Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (within Squarespace limits).

    Experience working with education or nonprofit organizations.

    Ability to suggest and implement scalable design systems and templates.

    Compensation:
