WeeCare is looking for a bright and energetic Junior Android engineer who wants to make a significant impact on the childcare industry and the reopening of small businesses. As an Android engineer, you will work directly with the engineering and product teams to:
- Translate designs into high quality code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness across different Android devices
- Maintain code quality through best practices and tests
- Work within a tight-knit, Agile team to deliver on product goals
- Push for engineering best practices
You'll excel at this role if you:
- Have a degree in C.S. or a related major
- Have 1-2 years of experience building Android applications
- Have experience with Java and Kotlin
- Have experience with RESTful APIs & JSON
- Have some experience with asynchronous libraries like RxJava and Coroutines
- Possess conceptual knowledge of MVP and MVVM architectures
- Enjoy collaborating with team members
- Are eager to learn and hit the ground running
- Excited to work within a data-driven team
- Are detail oriented and rarely let things slip through the cracks
