Dark Threat Fabrication LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Weekend Shift Supervisor to oversee our metal fabrication operations. The supervisor will manage a team of 3 to 6 employees performing tasks such as welding, grinding, powder coating, and other metal fabrication processes. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment during the weekend shift.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate a team of 3 to 6 employees, ensuring high productivity and adherence to quality standards.
Workflow Management: Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks, including welding, grinding, powder coating, and other fabrication activities, to meet production deadlines.
Quality Control: Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols, ensuring all team members follow proper procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Equipment Oversight: Monitor the use and maintenance of fabrication equipment, reporting any issues to management.
Communication: Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on shift performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational or personnel issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding, grinding, powder coating, or related metal fabrication processes.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage and motivate a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Certifications: Welding certifications or OSHA safety training are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Structure: 36-hour weekend shift (12 hours/day, Friday–Sunday) paid as a 40-hour workweek.
