Soccer Shots® is the soccer experience for children, using an acclaimed non-competitive curriculum and great coaches. Through the beautiful game, we aim to develop character, motor skills, and teamwork. Our team believes children are invaluable and our goal is simple: leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

Soccer Shots introduces soccer to children ages 2-8 at preschools, daycare centers, private and elementary schools, as well as local public programs at parks around the Bay Area. We are expanding and seeking enthusiastic instructors to help us run sessions.

DETAILS

We are seeking part-time instructors for the Piedmont/Montclair & Berkeley area. Instructors can coach anywhere between 4-20 sessions per week depending on experience and availability. Coaches must give an 8-12 week commitment for the season.

Each class is 30-60 minutes long. Soccer Shots will provide all of the necessary training, equipment, and curriculum materials. Classes are held throughout the weekday, between 9:00am-5:00pm, & weekend classes are held on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Competitive compensation starts between $20-30 per session. We offer perks such as a signing bonus and a loyalty bonus after two seasons with Soccer Shots.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN A PROFESSIONAL SETTING

If applicants do not have prior experience working with ages 2-8 years old, they will undergo a longer training process of up to one full season (10 weeks). Coaches in training will be compensated at the training rate, with the intention to begin lead coaching the following season launch, at which point compensation will be at full pay per session.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must successfully complete a full FBI & DOJ clearance through Live Scan.

REQUIREMENTS

Responsible & Professional | communicate professionally, timeliness, clean appearance, self-assured, dependable

Experienced & Enthusiastic | proven experience engaging and leading young children

Fun & Creative | comfortable being goofy and imaginative with young children

Patient & Empathic | must be a patient person, willing to work through behavior and learning challenges

Soccer & Athletic Know-How | Soccer skill as a player or coach is preferred, but not required

Transportation & Cell Phone | must have reliable transportation (driving to different locations) and mobile phone with data

Clear Background | must pass a Livescan (with clear record) and health screening

Education | 12+ accredited ECE units in Early Childhood Development are preferred, but not necessary
