SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST (PRODUCT OPERATIONS ANALYST)

JOB SUMMARY
Your job is to serve as an operations leader within a product line, to ensure the product line’s smooth functioning, serving as a liaison between all nodes of the global supply chain: the supplier, the customer, all internal departments, and the global product manager. You will drive a variety of functions under the product management department, focusing driving operational efficiency, including in the areas of product development, supply chain management, sales, and marketing. Your job is to anticipate problems, work to drive resolutions, and set appropriate expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the product line, but can include operations oversight of all functional departments, inventory planning and allocation, costing and pricing, and more. We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of managing an international supply chain, and experience in supply chain management, procurement, and/or customer support in a wholesale/retail/manufacturing organization. The position will administratively report to a Global Product Manager, with significant functional reporting to corporate Operations leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Validate and send out purchase orders to US and overseas manufacturers with a strong commitment to accuracy and cost control
· Ensure the international movement of goods from origin to final delivery at destination and tackle roadblocks hindering efficient movement
· Communicate with our global sales force and customer base regarding supply chain checkpoints, hiccups, and resolve issues accordingly
· Forecast, plan, and manage global inventory levels at a SKU-warehouse level to ensure customer needs are met and inventory risks are mitigated
· Support in the sales cycle process by providing product and supply chain insight and information to sales reps and customers, coordinating samples, and managing quotes
· Monitor and optimize cost and pricing through regular analysis of cost and pricing, and making analysis-driven recommendations to global product managers and outside sales teams
· Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding order discrepancies, shipment shortages, and other transactional errors
· Contribute new ideas to leadership team that foster overall company success
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong analytical skills and comfortable with forecasting over various time periods and identifying variances in data
· Experience using public data sources to identify global suppliers and study market trends
· Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, managers, and intra-company departments with both excellent written and verbal skills
· High energy, proactive, and highly organized with an ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on time
· A pro-active, go-getter personality
· A commitment to going above and beyond to make clients happy with a "no task too small" outlook
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· 2+ years in supply chain, procurement, or customer support in wholesale/retail/manufacturing organizations

· BA/BS is required
