Welder

Shift: 1st Shift (M-TH) 6am to 4pm

Pay: Based on skill level and weld test

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Welder who fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating welding equipment.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Vocational Training is preferred
• 3+ years of Welding experience
• Ability to Weld and Fabricate various metals
• Ability using multiple welding methods: SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW
• Ability to use fabrication equipment such as handheld grinders
• Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
• Ability to read/write in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties:

• Understand blueprints/drawings and the ability to interpret and apply
• design aspects to current projects
• Ability to successfully pass x-ray quality internal weld test SMAW/FCAW.
• Good Mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits
• following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches and hand tools.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and to determine structural soundness.
• Review engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and task sequences.
• Overhead crane operation.
• Forklift operation.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
• Dimensional inspect product using standard measuring equipment.
• Meets all quality assurance standards.
• Complete safety training program for welding position.
• Responsible for housekeeping in work area.
• Follow all safety and operating instructions, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
