    What You'll Do: Our wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions give our customers the freedom to live life on their own terms. The Welder is a skilled, hands-on member of our manufacturing team, responsible for precision welding throughout the vehicle conversion process. This role requires technical expertise, a strong commitment to quality, and a genuine appreciation for the importance of the work that directly impacts the independence and quality of life for our customers.

    What You'll Do: Your hands-on work drives our production.

    Assume responsibility for the welding part of the manufacturing process.

    Read and interpret blueprints and specifications as directed.

    Operate MIG welder, grinder, reciprocating saw, and cut-off wheel.

    Ability to bend and shape pipes of various materials and sizes with precision.

    Knowledge in pipe fitting and welding techniques.

    Maintain equipment, inspect for performance and/or safety concerns, and perform troubleshooting as needed.

    Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors’ quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.

    Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams and follow both written and verbal work instructions.

    What You'll Need: We’re looking for hands-on experience and a strong technical foundation.

    Proven hands-on welding experience, ideally in automotive manufacturing or a related field.

    Proficiency with welding machine operation, including regulating current and voltage for proper metal fusion.

    Ability to read and fabricate from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical sketches.

    Pre-inspection skills and attention to quality — you catch your own errors before they move down the line.

    Comfortable using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment.

    Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and propose effective solutions.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to follow both written and verbal work instructions.

    Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
