    Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Welding Fabricator. As a key member of the Warehouse team, the Welding Fabricator will assemble filter stations and fabricate materials as needed to complete those stations while working efficiently and safely. Laurel is looking for a strong hands-on Welding Fabricator with a proven track record of being an essential part of the processes in the Rental and Warehouse Department. This role will report to the General Manager.

    This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel. The Welding Fabricator is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, and enhances the culture.     WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Fabrication Responsibilities

    • Review and verify all project details, materials, and specifications prior to beginning fabrication work.
    • Construct fabricated components in accordance with approved designs and quality standards.
    • Accurately verify all dimensions prior to completion.
    • Ensure all fabricated pieces are properly labeled, accounted for, and ready for delivery or installation.
    • Must be willing to transition between shop-based work and field assignments as needed, including filter installations and custom pipe welding using shop-fabricated parts.
    • Maintain a strong work ethic, staying engaged through both repetitive tasks and skilled work critical to project completion.

    Worksite Readiness, Safety, and Compliance

    • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, tools, inventory, and supplies to ensure consistent readiness for field deployment
    • Adhere strictly to all company and regulatory safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
    • Actively participate in all required technical and safety training programs
    • Work may be performed in a variety of environments, including outdoor settings with exposure to all weather conditions or indoor areas with limited space
    • Assignments may require work on scaffolding or elevated platforms, necessitating a high degree of safety awareness and adherence to fall protection standards
    • Regular exposure to heat, sparks, and fumes while performing welding and fabrication task.

    TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

    • Operate handheld welding equipment, including arc welding machines and MIG welders
    • Utilize various hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures for precision work
    • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses to ensure safety on the job
