    Shift: First Shift
    Salary: $30–34/hr (Dependent on experience)

    Who We Are:

    Our client is an established fabrication facility located in the Middletown, Ohio area, operating a close-knit small scaled workshop with a dedicated team of 10-20 employees. They are rapidly growing due to a massive surge in sales and project demands. To meet this momentum, they are expanding their production team with skilled fabrication experts who can hit the ground running.

    Fabrication Welder Role:

    The Fabrication Welder performs high-level pipe welding, fitting, and component assembly to meet strict engineering specifications. This role exists to support scaling production demands and ensure high-quality, precise fabrication within a collaborative facility.

    Fabrication Welder Responsibilities:

    • Perform pipe welding and fitting using GTAW (Tig), GMAW (Mig), and Submerged Arc (Subarc) processes on carbon steel, stainless steels, and aluminum
    • Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layouts and fabrication procedures
    • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on assigned job orders
    • Set up components for welding according to technical specifications, including cutting material with powered saws
    • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
    • Align components using calipers, rulers, and other precision tools before clamping pieces
    • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
    • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover potential flaws
    • Maintain fabrication and welding equipment in a safe and optimal operational condition

    Fabrication Welder Reporting Relationships:

    Candidates will report directly to the General Manager and will not have any direct reports

    About You:

    • Possess 4-5 years of professional welding experience or equivalent advanced technical schooling, with a senior-level capability to hit the ground running
    • Demonstrate strong blueprint reading capabilities, including a solid understanding of dimensional symbols, welding symbols, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • Read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16”
    • Show proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment, including band saws, cutoff wheels, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and belt sanders
    • Maintain ownership of standard personal hand tools required for daily fabrication tasks
    • Exhibit a strong understanding of weld inspection methods and quality control techniques
    • Operate forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment
    • Communicate effectively through clear oral and written skills while collaborating within a small, dedicated environment
    • Manage the physical demands of the role, including required heavy lifting
