Heavycraft is seeking Welders. This role involves performing welding and repair tasks on grating throughout an active mine site. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, cutting, and repair on galvanized grating and similar projects as needed
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and job orders.
- Use various welding methods, including GMAW and SMAW.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Follow mine site safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with all safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, with attention to safety and equipment upkeep.
- Assist with jobsite duties as directed by site supervisors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a mining, industrial, or heavy equipment setting
- Proficiency with MIG, and stick welding techniques; D1.1 certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have reliable means of transportation
- Must pass a background check and drug screening (required for mine site access).
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
