Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing advanced welding tasks, fabricating metal components, and ensuring quality assurance in a fast-paced industrial environment. The Welder III will work on various projects, utilizing a range of welding techniques and equipment while adhering to safety standards and codes. This position is suitable for individuals with extensive experience in welding and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Essential Job Duties

• May give work assignments and provide guidance to other Welder staff as assigned
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as TIG and MIG
• Welders may specialize in certain types of welding, such as custom fabrication, welding, structural construction welding, or production welding
• Use electric/air tools and power tools as required
• Scan all jobs through the Made2Manage (M2M) system

Other Duties

• Operate plasma machine for cutting as needed
• Assembly of subassemblies as needed
• Operate forklift, electronic pallet jack or hoist
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Five years of experience as a Welder II, or a welding certification and three years of welding experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in welding is desirable
• Five years of machine shop experience is desirable
• Working knowledge of welding materials and equipment
• Forklift, pallet jack, and hoist experience is desirable
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure
