Overview:
Perform a variety of welding and metal‐fabrication tasks in a shop setting, producing, repairing, and modifying steel, stainless, and other alloy components. Work under supervision to set up welding equipment, interpret blueprints, and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure consistent part quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret shop prints and welding symbols to determine proper weld type, length, and sequence.
Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) to join or repair components.
Maintain welds, grind finish, and inspect weld joints for compliance with print specifications.
Assist with fit-up and tacking of assemblies prior to final welding.
Perform basic metal‐prep tasks: cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning.
Keep welding area clean and organized, adhering to all safety protocols (PPE, ventilation, fire prevention).
Maintain welding equipment, change tips/nozzles, and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a fabrication or repair environment.
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and dimensioned drawings.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain weld quality within tight tolerances.
Familiarity with shop safety practices, hand tools, and basic metalworking equipment.
Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

$24 - $28 / hr
