Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Welder to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for welding metal components, inspecting finished welds, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has previous welding experience or formal welding training, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: Starting at $20-$22/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | Four 10-Hour Shifts
Overtime: Fridays as needed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (horizontal, vertical, and overhead)
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
- Read blueprints and technical drawings as needed
- Measure and prepare materials for welding
- Set up components according to specifications
- Align and clamp parts using measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, and squares
- Occasionally operate hand plasma cutters and angle grinders to prepare materials
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects
- Maintain welding equipment and work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Work overtime as needed to meet production demands
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of welding school or on-the-job welding experience
- Experience with Pulse MIG welding required
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Good attendance and strong safety record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to work overtime when required
