The Senior Vice President of AI/ML and automation will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and optimization of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and automation initiatives within the organization. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in technology, data science, and business strategy to drive innovation and efficiency across various business functions within Healthcare.
As a senior leader in AI/ML, this role will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of Responsible AI and machine learning strategies within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the AI/ML initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, and staying abreast of industry trends, and it will ensure that AI/ML and automation practices comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards in Healthcare.

****Key Functions/Responsibilities:
Strategy and Vision:
· Develop and articulate a comprehensive AI/ML and automation strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
· Drive the vision for AI/ML and automation technologies, ensuring alignment with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Leadership and team management:
· Lead and manage a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and automation specialists.
· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the AI/ML and automation team.
Collaboration with Business Units:
· Collaborate closely with business units to understand their needs and challenges, and identify opportunities for AI/ML and automation solutions.
· Provide strategic guidance to business leaders on leveraging AI/ML and automation to enhance operations and achieve business goals.
Technology Development and Implementation:
· Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models and automation solutions.
· Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and automation technologies and assess their applicability to the organization.
Data Governance and Quality:
· Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure the quality, accuracy, and security of data used in AI/ML and automation processes.
· Work closely with data management teams to ensure data infrastructure supports AI/ML initiatives.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
· Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of AI/ML and automation initiatives.
· Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on the progress and outcomes of AI/ML and automation projects.
Regulatory Compliance:
· Ensure that AI/ML and automation practices comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
· Stay informed about legal and ethical considerations in AI/ML, advocating for responsible and transparent practices.
Qualifications:
Education Required: (Minimum Degree, or the equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary)
Education Preferred:
· Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field..
· 12-15 years of experience in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions for Healthcare
· Healthcare experience is critical for this role.
Experience Required: (Minimum years of experience in business, a specific field, or both)
· Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data science tools
· Proven experience in leading AI/ML teams and implementing successful projects
· Hands on experience working on analytical platforms like SAS, R, Python, Azure ML
· Demonstrated ability to align AI/ML initiatives with business goals
· Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing AI/ML and automation projects
