Job Summary:
The Principal Integration Lead is a senior level technical position responsible for designing and maintaining the Business Intelligence infrastructure for the enterprise, including the data warehouse, reporting tools, data integration tools, clinical quality, and clinical analytic tools.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior contributor on data and information centric initiatives including data warehouse structure, ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes, and external data interfaces.
- Serve as a senior lead on the overall design and implementation of the BI infrastructure including evaluation and recommendation of software tools, definition of hardware requirements, and system configuration.
- Serve as a senior contributor on the development of reporting models that define relationships between tables in the data warehouse and simplify the report development process.
- Interact with the other department leads to understand and identify data needs and requirements and work with other members of the IT organization to deliver warehouse and reporting solutions to address those needs.
- Interact with data analysts in IT and other departments to understand the documentation and training requirements needed to efficiently utilize the BI infrastructure including the development and maintenance of an enterprise metadata repository.
- Provide primary level support of production BI environments. Which includes perform design and code reviews for data warehouse developers, report developers, and data analysts.
- Monitor performance of all warehouse and reporting systems; provide ongoing performance tuning, review logs, clean temp files and all other administrative issues required to ensure applications and databases are performing efficiently.
- Data usage/data management/data protection including:
- Perform data profiling of sources to assess data quality and work on mitigation strategies and cleansing solutions
- Populate Metadata content and associate terms in the Business Glossary to develop the Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog
- Resolve data issues in the appropriate forums and work cross functionally to develop solutions
- Collaborate with Data, Analytics and IT teams and guide them on data standards and the use of Informatica tools
- Understand the business functions and analysis of BR in terms of information management support/services
- Interact with business leadership community to gather requirements based on changing needs, capacity planning and design
- Perform Peer code review going into production for accuracy
Supervision Exercised:
- Provide technical supervision to less experienced staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
Education Preferred/Desirable:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years hands-on experience working with database and warehouse technologies and architectures; including both logical and physical designs, data mart creation, ETL tools, loaders and development and reporting tools is required. This experience should include influencing global data architecture directions and defining major data architecture related technology standards.
- A minimum of four years of experience with Informatica Power Center ETL tool.
- A minimum of five years hands-on experience in various data definition and modeling projects and demonstrated capabilities in carrying best practices and common objects/components to other projects is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience developing stored procedures in an RDBMS system, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
- Must have excellent SQL skills.
Experience Preferred/Desirable:
- Experience with development processes and production release management; application and database tuning and interdependencies on operating system configuration is highly desired.
- Experience with health care related data highly desired.
- Multiple years of experience with Microsoft SSIS ETL tools.

- Ability to write functional and technical specifications for assigned projects.
- Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office products especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
- Experience or knowledge of FACETS or similar claims processing system.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented with an ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Ensure data quality, data management, data policies and risk management around the handling of data are followed.
- Ensure data is profiled to identify PII and other data attributes for security, understand content and opportunities to improve it with standards.
- Work with various stakeholders to make recommendations to improve data quality, data standardization and data transformation.
