    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The Allied Mental Health Professional provides consultation to the treatment team and designs and directs the implementation of an individualized behavioral modification plan by identifying goals and intervention techniques specific to the needs of each client and his/her family.

     

    Required Skills

    • Analytical skills are necessary for the collection and assessment of behavioral date, interpretation of these data and the ongoing review of treatment efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Visual ability to observe patient behaviors and dynamics to prepare and review written documentation is required.
    • Knowledge of and ability in the care and handling of adults is required, including consideration of the special needs and behaviors of this group.
    • Demonstrates skills in organization, completing timely and thorough paperwork, time management, data collection, comprehensive reports, and use of technical equipment and programs.

    Required Experience

    1. A master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology or a master’s of social work required. 
    2. Experience working with the adult client population; major depression/bipolar; trauma informed/skilled; suicidality-assessment and intervention; self harm.
