GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, analyzes, designs, develops and implements enterprise-wide computer systems and supportive documentation. Uses an advanced application of concepts and techniques with a high degree of system and problem complexity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 Enhances organizational and communications skills in order to provide project leadership.

2 Enhances technical knowledge of all phases of application systems analysis and design. 3 Provides trouble-shooting and problem solving skills to implement and maintain complex computer systems. 4 Provides business solutions to meet customer specifications. 5 Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation as required. 6 Interacts with customers and vendors through all phases of installation of departmental and enterprise-wide systems. 7 Plans, conducts and supervises small, short-term projects. 8 Acts as a mentor to Systems Analysts and provides input to their evaluations.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The BioMedical Department at WellSpan Health's primary responsibilites are to adjust, install, maintain, repair and provide technical support for biomedical equipment. It is our responsibility to evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of equipment in all WellSpan facilities. Some examples of equipment that our department is responsible for include: Various models of Infusion pumps Service and repair both mono and bi-phasic defibrillators Enterprise-wide patient monitoring system A wide variety of surgical lasers All operating room equipment, heart lung bypass unit and the anesthesia machines Hemodialysis equipment Stretchers and Beds for all areas of the hospital Imaging modalities including first pass repair on MRI and CAT Scanners. We also service general x-ray equipment, ultrasound machines, mammography and film processors.
