GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the program director and in concert with the other treatment team members, this staff manages the day-to-day functions that support program operations including quality assurance activities, coordination of referrals, and team supervision as assigned by program director. This staff also provides in-field training and orientation of new staff by doing team delivered family and individual therapy sessions with new staff members. The Family Based Program Manager fills in on teams when a team member is absent as assigned by the Family Based County Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in training and orientation of new staff on clinical documentation.
- Monitors compliance of documentation through quarterly audits.
- Provides weekly clinical supervision for staff as assigned by County Program Director.
- Responds promptly to requests for clinical assistance and management of clinical crises when serving as on-call supervisor or assigned to do so by County Program Director.
- Provides therapy coverage when a team member is absent or for a vacant position.
- Organizes or delegates special program events as assigned by County Program Director (i.e.: Parent Ed nights).
- Attends mandated FB supervisors training.
- Trains new therapy staff on the Family Based Model in the field including structural family therapy techniques as assigned by County Program Director.
- Completes documentation as required by the program as assigned.
- Provides County Program Director with regular feedback on the job performance and progress of new therapy staff.
- Provides temporary operational oversight for a county program in the absence of a FB County Program Director.
- Provides feedback on therapy staff to the County Program Director to assist in developing individualized professional growth goals for therapy staff.
- Completes annual safety education requirements for the department.
- Responds promptly and skillfully to limit potentially unsafe client behaviors.
- Completes assessments as needed.
- Assists therapists with videotaping and reviewing of videotaped sessions for professional growth as assigned.
- Addresses and resolves client funding matters.
- Orients family members to nature of therapeutic services and the specific program.
- Increases family members understanding of client needs and progress.
- Promotes positive family relations, especially effective parental strategies both in affect regulation and family structure.
- Collaborates in communicating appropriate treatment and discharge plans with the funding sources and the treatment team.
- Completes progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions/summaries, as needed.
- Documents clients functioning, response to treatment, behavioral changes, unsafe events (e.g., PERTS form), as well as family and agency contacts and decisions.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Minimum Education - Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or human services
Minimum Experience - 2 years clinical experience with children and adolescents
Min Field Of Expertise - Mental Health related field
Preference - Pennsylvania Clinical licensure; LSW, LPC, LCSW or state certification as a Family Based Mental Health Professional
