Senior Nurse Recruiter / Human Resources Representative
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision, screens applications, interviews qualified applicants and performs other duties related to the nurse recruitment, hiring, retention and voluntary/involuntary transfer of personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Reviews personnel requirements and checks files for qualified candidates. 2 Screens nursing applications, interviews qualified nursing applicants, and facilitates the interview and hiring process with customer department leadership. 3 Evaluates capabilities of candidates and negotiates starting salaries according to compensation guidelines. Makes job offers on behalf of the System and arranges for pre-employment physicals. 4 Participates in career days, open houses, and other activities to attract qualified candidates. 5 Assists in preparing advertisements and develops recruiting contacts with employment agencies and placement offices. 6 Evaluates trends in recruitment and the job market to recommend recruitment strategies. 7 Communicates the policies and benefits of the System and/or appropriate entity, participating in orientation and initiating payroll records for new employees. 8 Assists in the creation, development, implementation and/or presentation of a variety of Human Resources training programs, communications, and employment programs such as orientation, internships and apprenticeships. 9 Counsels and assists employees involved in involuntary job change. 10 Advises supervisors and employees in resolving employee relations issues.
Required Skills
Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, Sales/Marketing or related discipline.
Strongly prefer certification in Human Resources or Healthcare Recruitment.
Requires a minimum of 3 -5 years’ current human resources experience (with demonstrated solid experience and knowledge in nurse recruitment) Prefer Healthcare Industry Experience)
Experience with managing high nurse recruitment volumes
Experience constructing and extending offers
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects,
Experience with applicant tracking systems and other electronic recruitment tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing, listening, fact finding and problem solving.
Exemplary organizational skills, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and follow through on requests.
RN experience is considered a benefit.
