Psychology Intern (Doctoral Level)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Psychology Internship Training Director or designee, provides psychological services under supervision as outlined in internship handbook.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Provides assessments in a multidisciplinary environment, to make recommendations for diagnosis (DSM, ICD) and interventions. 2 Conducts individual, couples, family and/or group therapy sessions as appropriate. Formulates and updates treatment plans and modifies treatment accordingly. 3 Provides all necessary documentation to reflect patient care status and to meet regulatory requirements, completing documentation within organizational timeframes. 4 Selects, administers and interprets psychological tests and writes psychological reports. Shares results with clients, referral sources and other relevant parties. 5 Coordinates care of assigned patients with treatment team members and other providers, agencies or referral sources as appropriate. 6 Demonstrates conduct that is ethical and professional. Operates within relevant laws. 7 Responds sensitively to issues of individual and cultural diversity in practice. 8 Complies with WellSpan Health Code of Conduct.
