GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Caf Services Team Leader, provides food and beverage services to visitors, patients and their family members, and employees. Prepares and serves hot beverages and sandwiches. Maintains adequate stock of food, beverages and condiments. Inventories stock and prepares orders for restocking of supplies. Performs cashier duties involving collecting funds, issuing receipts and daily balancing of cash drawer. Interacts with the public in a cheerful, courteous, customer-oriented and helpful manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Prepares sandwiches, subs, wraps, salads and specialty items as directed. 2 Prepares, sets up and tears down Coffee Bar, and Frozen Dessert Machine. 3 Greets all customers promptly and courteously. 4 Receives payment for food and drinks from visitors and staff. 5 Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis. 6 Keeps the cafe well-stocked and clean. 7 Orders supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory. 8 Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines. 9 Alerts supervisor to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies. Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment or other unusual conditions.
