    Position Description:

    The Registrar is responsible for tracking student progress through the school from enrollment to graduation, including general status, attendance, grades and transcripts; and for reporting enrollment, student status, retention, and graduation data to both internal and external audiences.  In overseeing the business office, the position holder assists in managing student financial transactions including receiving student payments and managing student ledgers. 

    Primary Duties:

    • Collects, records, maintains and reports student records
    • Controls all documents related to student status
    • Administers Enrollment Agreement to entering students
    • Administers student records and provides services to students regarding all changes in status (registration, leave of absence, withdrawal, transcript analysis, graduation etc.)
    • Develops policies for registration management
    • Creates and promotes policies and procedures in compliance with ABHES, state and federal agencies.
    • Assesses students each semester to certify that they are making Satisfactory Academic Progress; and red-flags at-risk students.
    • Tracks student academic performance (attendance and grades), and reports to Program Management and Executive Director for counseling purposes.
    • Provides reports to internal and external groups regarding retention rates, graduation rates, enrollment composition and cancelation rates.
    • Assists the Finance Director in managing student payment transactions, including taking payments and maintaining individual student ledgers.

    Qualifications

    • Education administration experience of at least three years – ideally as a Registrar
    • Past accounting experience a definite plus
    • Strong time management skills, and sensitivity to deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency with data management systems, including MS Word and Excel
    • Patience & good sense of humor
