    Job Description

    We are looking for a driven, energetic, highly skilled person to join our Medical Assisting instructor team. The program is delivered in a classroom setting and prepares students for a career in the healthcare field. This is a part-time position with daytime and evening hours.

    Job Duties

    · Instruct students in a classroom and laboratory environment to prepare them for the job field.

    · Manage a classroom of students with various learning styles.

    · Effectively deliver the material so that each objective in the course is achieved.

    · Submit grades and attendance in a timely manner.

    · Collaborate with other instructors to improve curriculum in the program.

    · Consistently present a positive environment for learning and interaction.

    Job Skills/Requirements

    · Demonstrate strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques.

    · Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the field of Medical Assisting.

    · Graduation from an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the Medical Assisting field

    · The potential instructor must have two (2) years of recent occupational (i.e., practical) experience in Medical Assisting.

    · Hold a current license, certification or other credential as required by local, state and/or federal laws to work in the field of Medical Assisting.

    · Display professionalism at all times and present in a way that is in the best interest of the school and the profession.

    The ideal candidate will be highly personable, outgoing and must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal abilities and have a track record of achieving results by working through other people.
