The Well-Being Coach promotes wellness through mentoring in healthy living, education on healthy choices, nutrition, and physical fitness and as a case manager to address the eight domains of well-being.
The function of the position is to provide comprehensive community support services under the direction of the Wellness Advocate. The Well-Being Coach promotes wellness through multiple methods: one-on-one sessions, group settings, fitness and nutrition presentations, academic support, and collaboration with other organizations. The Well-Being Coach needs to work independently and in a team, open to personal growth, and willing to increase knowledge base to promote natural and holistic health from within.
Case Management Accountabilities
●Maintain a caseload of 8-10 clients
● Emphasize and enforce the Mission and Vision of Wellness Studios Inc. as a wellness provider.
●Co-Create individualized Case Plans: develop specific goals, plans, and objectives to address issues related to clients.
●Track progress of clients by maintaining HIPAA-compliant client records.
●Assist in the preparation and execution of health & fitness training, wellness information, and emotional regulation group programs.
●Monitor clients’ well-being and refer them to other community resources and services ●Attend meetings and training as required
Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor General Accountabilities
●Demonstrate techniques and proper form, observe clients, and explain corrective measures to improve their skills and help avoid injury.
●Accommodate various levels of fitness by offering alternatives during classes.
●Monitor participants’ progress and adapt programs, as necessary.
●Develop and execute specific goals, plans, and objectives to address issues related to clients.
●Ensure that safety and injury prevention policies and procedures are adhered to by participants; report accidents and prepare accident reports, as required.
Job Qualifications
●Education: Minimum High School diploma, Preferred Bachelor’s degree
●Current licensures and certification in Group Fitness or Relevant Training is required and be in good standing.
●Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in fitness instruction
is preferred.
●Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
●Maintain licensures/certifications in good standing.
