Secondary Responsibilities and Functions:
Proactive responses to behavior are important to the overall health and well-being of students and school culture. On occasion, there is a need for a reactive approach to supporting building behavioral and social skills. The secondary function of this job is supervising and monitoring students assigned to in-school intervention, supporting instructional processes, social-emotional skill building, and maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Position requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, education, sociology, or related field and/or equivalent of education and experience
Ideal Candidate & Beliefs:
Applicant should have knowledge of school organizational culture and classroom procedures, and practices. Applicants must be able to interpret and establish appropriate rules, methods, and techniques in maintaining a predictable and positive environment. Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and patience. Applicant must have experience working with students and knowledge of conflict resolution techniques is strongly encouraged. Applicants must have a strong belief in all students' abilities to be successful. Applicants must utilize cultural humility and have knowledge of positive behavior interventions.
