    The WFCC Asset Based Lending Underwriting Analyst works in partnership with an Underwriting team on aspects of the new business transaction process. This includes leading efforts related to meeting compliance requirements.

    Responsible for assisting in the underwriting and closing of a variety of transactions and assisting in prospect review and analysis, as described below:

    • Analyze and understand the prospective client’s business and industry as they may apply to Know Your Customer (“KYC”) requirements, general compliance and understanding our client's regulatory compliance requirements
    • Coordinate the due diligence process, including the coordination and analysis of third party due diligence, background checks, and general KYC
    • Work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of internal and external customers; actively participate in meetings with the prospective clients.
    • Oversee seamless onboarding of new client; help to coordinate the transition to the Portfolio.
    • Timely and accurately contribute to the completion of internal compliance requirements when due, i.e., KYC/BSA/AML (Cornerstone).
    • Contribute and support the credit approval memo creation and due diligence process related to KYC, BSA/AML, background checks and general understanding of loan parties and principals of the transaction; identify critical transactional and structural risks for WFCF related to KYC, BSA/AML, background checks and general understanding of loan parties and principals to best protect WFCF’s interest; make sure critical issues are elevated to manager and/or senior Underwriter.
    • Review all pertinent documentation supporting compliance/Cornerstone approval
    • Manage the expectations of the prospect throughout the loan closing process through frequent  communication and provide regular updates of transaction status to relevant parties (internal and external).
    • Complete all required compliance and regulatory training within prescribed timelines and due dates; satisfactory results from RAR and other internal reviews.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of commercial lending experience

    OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of commercial lending experience related to KYC, BSA/AML, and general customer on-boarding requirements
    • 3+ of customer service experience
    • Experience in commercial banking environment
    • Cornerstone and customer on-boarding experience

    JOB EXPECTATIONS

    • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
