Job Description
Busy, well-established, multi-practice __ Nashua law firm has a full-time opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Civil Litigation team.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the New Hampshire civil litigation process, including both Superior and Federal Court practice and procedure. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible and demonstrate strong critical thinking and file management skills, including case-specific deadline tracking. The ideal candidate will have experience:
o Drafting fee agreements, conducting conflict checks and opening files
o Communicating and working with clients to gather necessary materials as well as prepare for any hearings or trial
o Calculating and tracking deadlines
o Creating initial drafts of various pleadings, motions, PAD and expert disclosures, discovery, and correspondence
o Scheduling depositions and mediations
o Analyzing discovery requests, collecting documents and drafting responses
o Receiving and reviewing discovery responses for deficiencies
o Filing and e-filing in State, Federal and State Supreme Courts
o Effectuating service of process in various contexts
o Assisting attorneys in preparing for trial and hearings
