    This position is a salary role. $65 – 80K per year, depending on experience!

    Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

    Month-End Financial Management: Familiarity with the month-end close process for manufacturing activities, executing necessary journal entries concerning cost-of-sales, variable and fixed costs, warranty, obsolescence, inventory, and manufacturing production variances.

    Rigorous Reconciliation: Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and schedules, focusing on labor, inventory, scrap, cost of sales, and production variances.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Control, Engineering, and the New Product Development teams to support product costing activities. This involves validating and entering bill of material and routing changes for both new and existing products within the Crystal Lake production facility.

    Comprehensive Plant Costing Support: Provide support for all plant costing activities related to BOM structure verification and changes, routing changes, time studies, and verification of labor content for new and existing products.

    Direct Labor Efficiency Oversight: Maintain and prepare analyses on direct labor efficiency and productivity.

    Standard Cost Management: Work closely with the Plant Controller to schedule and manage the annual standard cost review, ensuring timely updates to the plant’s labor and overhead rates.

    Scrap Collection and Recovery Tracking: Record, track, and reconcile weekly scrap collections and recoveries.

    Appropriation Request Monitoring: Track appropriation requests and monitor actual to budget progress.

    Vendor Invoice Approval Oversight: Ensure timely approval of vendor invoices by monitoring the aged pending invoices for approval report, communicating any issues to the relevant stakeholders.

    Fixed Asset Management: Safeguard the plant’s fixed assets by diligently tracking, tagging, and analyzing all fixed assets. Ensure adherence to established procedures for the acquisition and disposal of assets.

    Forecast and Budget Support: Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the annual budget.

    Audit Preparation and Support: Assist with the preparation and delivery of information supporting the annual external audit.

    Plant Controller Backup: Serve as a backup to the Plant Controller as necessary for the month-end close process, PFR preparation, or transmission of financial data to Corporate.

    Qualifications:

    Experience & Education:

    Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.

    Two to five years of experience in Cost Accounting is preffered.

    Prior experience in a plant manufacturing environment is highly desired.

    Salary info:

    $30 - $40 / hr
