  • Responsibilities

    Job Purpose:

    Report to Transportation Manager and provide quality transportation services to clients in a safe and efficient manner as needed while providing supervision to driver's and transportation staff.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    Provide coordination support to transportation department through scheduling, dispatching staff/volunteers supervision and clerical functions.

    Possess the ability to prepare departmental reports and assure all reporting documents are completed and available by drivers.

    Assist Manager with monthly reporting

    Maintain all records/documentation for the office

    Maintain all supplies for office and fleet

    Schedule maintenance repairs, and preventive maintenance for vehicles.

    Assist Manager with the development of program policies and procedures for the transportation department.

    A working knowledge of the geographical area of Montgomery County.

    A working knowledge of ODOT/DOT

    An interest in sharing time and skills in a compassionate and caring manner that is conveyed to clients and staff.

    Provide supervision, responsibility and work effectively with staff and volunteers.

    Possess a flexible schedule with the ability to work 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

    Duties:

    Maintain and post daily and weekly schedules for clients and drivers; schedule monthly staff meetings.

    Provide day to day operations of the vehicles, keys, walkie-talkies and daily logs.

    Assist in the recruitment of staff and volunteers for office and driving assignments.

    Provide driving duties as deemed necessary to complete routes due to absences and lateness.

    Accept require training in safe vehicle operation, first aid, CPR, and proper handling of passengers.

    Become familiar with Wesley Dayton guidelines and procedures as it relates to contractual partners.

    Network and make referrals to appropriate community resources.

    Assist with obtaining support services needed to lessen barriers and to assist with issues of complex nature related to violence, abuse and the absence of self-sufficiency.

    Perform any other duties as deemed necessary per Manager
