    Job Description

    HOUSEKEEPING & LAUNDRY MANAGER:  officially we title this job a Housekeeping Manager, but in other centers it may be called a Environmental Services Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, Director of Housekeeping or Guest Services Director

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

    • Supervise and manage housekeeping and laundry personnel so that a clean, orderly and home-like environment is maintained in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations.
    • Participate in the requirement, hiring, orienting, training, disciplining and terminating of housekeeping and laundry personnel.
    • Delegate work assignments so that all areas of the facility, including the outside are maintained
    • Make frequent rounds of the facility to monitor the cleanliness and orderliness, correct any issues immediately and discuss issues with the Administrator.
    • In conjunction with the Administrator,  work to maintain the housekeeping and laundry budget
    • Participate in inspections
    • Maintain the Pest Control Program
    • Perform hands on housekeeping and laundry services
    • Participate in orientation and training of staff
    • All other duties & responsibilities as assigned

    HOUSEKEEPING & LAUNDRY MANAGER  

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

    • Experience in housekeeping supervisory/manager role is preferred 
    • Prior experience working for a Long Term or Post-Acute Care setting is desirable.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must have knowledge of a computer-based documentation system
    • Must be able to read, write in English and understand state and federal regulations regarding sanitation requirements and proper procedures.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus! 
    • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
    • Must pass a pre-employment physical
