    Electrical Estimator - Greater Seattle Area

    Our client is hiring Washington State applicants ONLY.

Project managers and estimators can use their creativity and design-build to a wide variety of unique and custom projects.     This position will be a combination of working in the office developing installation plans and will go out and learn the project management and estimating components of the position. Most of the projects are negotiated in the automation and industrial field and requires knowledge of PLC programming, motor controls, and HMI configuration.

     

    What You Will Do:

    • Primarily focus on electrical estimating
    • Assist in estimating system training for all estimators, project managers, and others as necessary
    • Must have the ability to prepare detailed electrical estimates based on the project scope of work
    • Develop project take-offs, and equipment counts based upon the specifications and drawings
    • Develop and design the project then present your project estimate to the client
    • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
    • Obtain all necessary permits and licenses
    • Meet with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction methods and strategies to meet team objectives
    • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with project budgets and schedules, quality controls, design intent, building and safety codes, and other regulations

     

    What You Will Bring:

    • 7+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high-tech and new construction
    • Experience evaluating and estimating design/build contract work
    • Must have the ability to evaluate costs and constructability issues
    • Must be able to assist, supervise, coordinate with, and/or direct other estimators, reviewing work and present timely, accurate estimates
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management
    • Customer service, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
    • Must be familiar with ConEst and some kind of Autocad software
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with contractors and owners.
    • Must be able to pass a background check, including drug testing and driver's license screening

     

    What You Will Get:
