Our company is currently seeking a Refund Specialist in the Healthcare Industry to join our team!
Responsibilities:
The Refund Specialist works with healthcare provider clients to monitor, review, and process refunds for clients, patients, and/or third-party payers. As a medical Refund Specialist, job duties are to evaluate credit balance reports to determine appropriateness of patient and/or insurance over-payments resulting in refund status. Specialist collaborates regularly with multiple clients on various electronic healthcare billing platforms to then process and issue refunds in compliance with established client policies and regulatory protocols. Other responsibilities include maintaining detailed financial records in patients’ files and assisting with clerical and administrative tasks in the medical billing office while ensuring proper documentation of procedural steps and actions.
