    General Description:

    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all areas of resort maintenance, capital improvements, shops, ordering supplies, including, but not limited to:
    • Facilities and property maintenance
    • Staff work schedules
    • Setting maintenance and project priorities with the General Manager’s approval
    • Ordering, inventorying, and organization of supplies
    • Working within the set budget
    • Vehicle and cart maintenance
    • Adequate records kept for health department
    • Pool Maintenance
    • Being involved in the hiring process
    • Scheduling outside labor when necessary
    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all daily maintenance operations as pertaining to the resort and its guests as well as other duties as assigned.

    The Maintenance Supervisor must have the leadership skills necessary to oversee such a diverse property and its varied maintenance and repair requirements. He/She must also identify, hire, and train a qualified staff. The Maintenance Supervisor will also assist in overseeing Grounds, but they will report directly to the Maintenance Foreman.

    The Maintenance Supervisor must also perform cyclical performance appraisal evaluations on any and all subordinates.

    Essential Position Functions:

    • Facilities – Oversee the Maintenance (and Grounds when necessary) Departments to ensure a well-groomed, clean landscape that is properly maintained
    • Budgeting – Oversee all budgeting requirements for Maintenance (and Grounds when necessary). Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining each department within budget, as well as reducing waste and increasing profitability within each department.
    • Departmental Meetings – Maintenance Supervisor must meet regularly with all department heads, including Grounds, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Guest Services, Camp, and the General Manager for continuity of service, standards, and employee communication.
    Staff Management – Oversee and manage a qualified staff and keep a positive morale within the Maintenance Department. Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for any necessary disciplinary action on his or her subordinates and maintaining appropriate records of such actions. Should it become necessary, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the termination of any subordinates and will be involved in the hiring process.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of five years experience in work related areas
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage subordinates effectively and handle any necessary disciplinary action
    • Ability to organize time and talents to meet goals and deadlines and provide leadership to a diverse staff
    • Must share the mission and vision of hospitality and promote the mission of the company at all times
    • Skilled in the trades
