    Job Description

    West Town Daycare is hiring for our toddler classroom! We are looking for the right candidate who can grow and become a part of our team. Our biggest goal is to help children develop healthy social and emotional skills. The right candidate will be independent, reliable and open minded and ENERGETIC!

    Some responsibilities include but not limited to are:

    • Observe and document children's learning through TSG.
    • Lesson Plan
    • Communicate with parents via Brightwheel
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment. Assure that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
    • Meet the individual needs of the children within your classroom.
    • Create and maintain a positive learning environment.
    • Timely

    REQUIREMENTS FOR A LEAD TEACHER:

    • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days.
    • Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or
    • One year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six.
    • Be able to work closely with other team members and communicate in a kind and professional manner.
    • Able to effectively lesson plan
    • Excellent classroom management skills
