Communications and Event Management Internship
Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic; self motivated individual who is seeking experience in event planning to join Westchester Networking for Professionals team to assist us with the planning and execution day to day activities.
This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience that goes beyond administrative tasks. Interested candidate will be required to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible schedule). Local interns will have an opportunity to assist at the events.
THIS INTERNSHIP IS A WORK FROM HOME POSITION. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER AND INTERNET SERVICE. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP. INTERNS WILL RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT AND/OR RECOMMENDATION LETTER.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the team with planning and executing events, marketing and public relations and communications. DUTIES INCLUDE: Internet Research Contact Outreach Social Media Updates Customer Relationship Management Other special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Great personality Attention to details with ability to meet deadlines Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office Internet savvy Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to take initiative and work independently Experience managing/coordinating projects is a plus
