PAYROLL MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Payroll Manager will process and audit the organizations payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations for the company’s biweekly multistate payroll.

Indel Power Group companies operate out of 20 locations throughout New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Kentucky. These locations supply sales, service, and parts to the on-highway, power generation, oil/gas, construction & industrial, mining & quarry, and marine markets. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Completes payroll journal entries for biweekly payroll.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Prepare week/monthly/quarter end payroll & benefits journal entries and reconcile to GL.
- Complete quarterly multi work site reports.
- Distribute annual W-2’s and 1095’s.
- Prepare and process 401k data file base on payroll withholdings.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, completing journal entries, and payroll taxes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with ADP.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five to ten years of related experience required.
