The Director of Construction – Technology & Communications plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities concerned with the construction of telecommunication projects that Irby Co. provides for various Utility Customers through the US. Participates in the conceptual development of construction projects and oversees their assignment, organization, scheduling, and implementation. This position formulates company policies and ensures adherence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the assignment and satisfactory completion of Construction Processes at each Utility with a signed Irby Master Services agreement.
Make all recommendations on construction processes and utilization of technology and design implementation.
Assign tasks to all Construction Managers on projects.
Report to Vice President of Technology and Communications and will communicate all necessary functions and timing of the construction process.
Report on the deliverables for each account in a monthly staff meeting with members of Leadership.
Maintain activity via brief in-person visits at remote locations as a means to overlook field construction.
Monitor and make joint inventory and purchasing decisions related to each customer’s needs.
Train and evaluate personnel and be responsible for acquiring talent needed to fill critical roles.
Confer with Management to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
