    Job Description

    We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, detail oriented Large Loss Contents Adjuster to join our team. The Large Loss Contents Adjuster will manage, investigate and resolve assigned Property Contents claims under general supervision. This role will be responsible for capturing inventory of damaged/lost contents associated with property claims. This role will provide policyholders with quality customer service and will assist Claims Representatives with in-person inspection/policyholder contact where necessary.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    · Be responsible for claims handling large loss personal property losses.

    · Work with large loss adjuster for scheduling, inventorying, adjustment and relocation assistance.

    • Perform on-site inventory inspection and specific detail capture to provide to policyholder for pricing.
    • Regularly assess damages and complete estimates through Xactimate estimating software and reach agreements on scope and cost of repairs with customers and/or their representative both in person, virtually and via phone.
    • Accurately document activity and secure claim information within our claim's system
    • Provide quality customer service. Provide insured with policy information to include coverage, limitations, replacement or other options.
    • Regularly negotiate and reach agreement with vendors and contractors while applying policy contract provisions to resolve claims timely and accurately.
    • Have the ability to travel domestically. Occasional overtime and weekends may be required
    • Occasionally assist on files handled by Claims Reps with in-person inspection/policyholder contact as needed.
    • Be responsible for compliance with state insurance regulations and company claims handling guidelines at all times.
    • Be available to be called upon for catastrophe duty.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong written and oral communications skills.
    • High organizational skills with good attention to detail.
    • Good interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
    • Customer service experience.
    • Knowledge of coverage types provided within various homeowner policies.
    • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 6-12 months of directly related experience.
    • Ability to obtain proper licensing.
    • Experience in interior design, electronics, appliances, clothing and furniture retail preferred.
