Job Description

We’re looking for an Insurance Sales Manager to lead and direct our sales  team in our Irvine office. Applicants must be professional, articulate, and team players with the ability to handle multiple tasks. This position calls for a high level of sales acumen and insurance industry knowledge, as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

The Insurance Sales Manager will be responsible for:

• Providing mentorship and motivation to sales staff.
• Knowing and applying underwriting guidelines / department procedures and ensuring sales staff does too.
• Coming up with sales strategies and ideas to increase conversions
• Making recommendation for automation and other ways to improve department processes.
• Directing lead assignment and policy reviews.
• Identifying, testing and relaying any technical issues that require correction.
• Resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service.
• Knowing and working within Department of Insurance and other agency guidelines and restrictions.
• Training, evaluating and developing staff (three agents and two sales assistants).
• Setting appropriate individual and department sales goals.
• Keeping up-to-date with insurance industry developments.
• Communicating effectively with sales staff and others at all levels.
• Maintaining internal performance tracking reports.
• Compiling and presenting meaningful data reports to senior management.

The Insurance Sales Manager requirements are:

· Experience in and knowledge of the Property/Casualty Insurance industry particularly with Homeowners insurance products.

· Minimum two years of Property and Casualty Insurance sales experience.

· Minimum two years sales management experience.

· Current Personal Lines or Property and Casualty license.

· MS Excel knowledge preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Bilingual- Spanish preferred.
