    ** Job Description** : As a Quality Assurance Researcher at Western Verify, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our background check reports. You will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and verifying information gathered during the screening process to ensure it meets the highest quality standards and adheres to industry guidelines and legal requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Review Background Check Reports: Thoroughly examine background check reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
    2. Data Verification: Validate and cross-reference information obtained through various sources, such as databases, public records, and reference checks, to ensure its accuracy.
    3. Report Discrepancy Resolution: Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in the collected data and work closely with the research team to resolve any issues promptly.
    4. Compliance Assurance: Stay up to date with relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to background screening, and ensure the company's processes align with these requirements.
    5. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency, and enhanced accuracy in background screening procedures.
    6. Document Control: Maintain detailed records of quality assessments, audit findings, and corrective actions taken to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
    7. Training and Guidance: Provide feedback and support to the research team on best practices, quality standards, and compliance procedures to enhance their skills and performance.
    8. Quality Metrics Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to management regarding quality metrics, trends, and key performance indicators related to the background screening process.
    9. Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, new research methods, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality of background check services offered by the company.

    Requirements:

    1. Education: bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    2. Experience: Prior experience in quality assurance, research, or background screening is highly advantageous.
    3. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy and data validation.
    4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify potential issues and apply problem-solving techniques effectively.
    5. Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing background screening, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), is desirable.
    6. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
    7. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
    8. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and technology platforms relevant to the background screening industry.
