    COMPANY OVERVIEW

    Western Veterinary Partners (WVP) is a high-growth private equity backed Veterinary support organization. Focused on the Western states. WVP provides affiliated veterinarians with proven non-clinical business support functions, allowing veterinarians to spend more time with patients. Affiliated veterinarians benefit from professionally managed centralized non-clinical services such as provider recruitment, payables management, vendor management, capital equipment procurement, staffing management, finance, marketing, and information systems.

     

    We are seeking an experienced payroll professional who understands the unique factors involved in processing payroll for multiple locations in our high-growth, fast-paced veterinary company. Ideally, the candidate is a hands-on, team player. They are comfortable with a “no job too big or too small” mentality, enjoy problem solving, love to reinvent and reimagine processes, and highly communicative with internal and external customers. The role will be based in central Denver but will work remotely for now. 

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and maintain all electronic employee files ensuring compliance with state/federal requirements.
    • Respond quickly and accurately to calls, emails and requests from employees.
    • Audit timesheets for compliance with company policies and employment laws.
    • Process bi-weekly payroll in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures as well as federal and state regulations.
    • Complete appropriate wage/salary adjustment as needed.
    • Research, analyze and resolve difficult or technical problems presented from all levels of the company.
    • Recommend and participate in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations.
    • Conduct training sessions on payroll policies and procedures.
    • Assist employees with systems access, questions, and troubleshooting.
    • Analyze payroll data, make recommendations, and prepare related reports.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

    • 5+ years of experience with full cycle multi-state payrolls.
    • FPC or CPP preferred.
    • Highly proficient with the MS Office Suite including strong Excel skills.
    • Experience using ADP Workforce Now a plus.
    • Results-driven and process-improvement focused.
    • Strong sense of urgency and pride in maintaining high quality work without errors.
    • Ability to effectively multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
    • Strong initiative, emotionally maturity and supportive nature
    • Enjoys working on a team.
    • Local to the greater Denver area.

     

    COMPENSATION

    • Salary range of $60k to $70k
    • Benefits include PTO, health, dental, vision, 401(k)
