    Westmark Credit Union is looking for a Full Time Teller to join our team.     This is a full-time position working between 36-40 hours per Monday through Friday work week.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Accept deposit and withdrawal requests while properly verifying endorsements and validity of items presented and verifying cash
    • Assist members with the purchase of monetary instruments such as money orders and cashier's checks
    • Provide routine information about the credit union, its services, products and policies
    • Balance cash drawer daily in a timely manner, maintaining at least 80% balancing
    • Follow branch robbery/security procedures
    • Accurately process cash advances, check order requests, night deposit items and all other duties assigned by supervisor
    • Offer products and services beneficial to members
    • Comply with Westmark policies and procedures and seek approval for exceptions
    • Participate in Westmark sponsored community events
    • Achieve goals assigned and perform any and all duties as assigned by Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or Lead Teller
    • Is able to interact with members and co-workers professionally and with integrity
    • Embrace the Full Service Culture and make an effort to succeed
    • Show a positive, enthusiastic attitude
    • Maintain a reliable attendance record and take responsibility for own actions
    • Represent the credit union, both during and outside of work hours in a courteous, professional manner

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Teller experience preferred, but not required - prior customer service and cash handling experience required.
    • Accuracy in handling cash and keying transactions
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to use a computer and 10-key
    • Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to be pro-active in informing members of additional products and services.
    • Spanish speaking applicants desired
