WESTMINSTER CANTERBURY ON CHESAPEAKE BAY is currently hiring an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & PAYROLL SUPERVISOR.
WHAT WILL I DO?
Our ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & PAYROLL SUPERVISOR is responsible for..
- Assist the Controller in the planning, directing and supervising activities of the Accounts Payable and Payroll team to ensure prompt and accurate processing of accounts payable and payroll including collecting, disbursing, reporting and recording of cash receipts.
- Direct supervision of team members performing payroll, accounts payable, and cash receipt functions of the organization, including staffing and other personnel related activities.
- Review the preparation of payroll returns, W-2s, and other payroll-related governmental and federal reports for accuracy and completion before
- Review the preparation of 1099's and other related reports for accuracy and completion before
- Serves as the corporate credit card program administrator; facilitating relationships with the credit card service provider and the cardholders by ensuring expenses and required receipts are received in accordance with company policy and IRS requirements. Communicates concerns, escalates incidents of fraud and mismanagement. Proposes changes in process that will maximize efficiencies and mitigate risks.
- Report cash position of the organization by preparing a daily or weekly cash report. Alerts the proper level of management of potential cash shortfalls timely so the appropriate actions can be taken.
- Maintains all insurance/risk management contracts and documentation.
- Provide professional and technical guidance to payroll and accounts payable team.
- Maintain the department's record retention and storage program.
- Direct a variety of personnel related actions including performance evaluations, staffing, disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and Communicate concerns or potential compliance issues to Controller quickly. Completes all mandatory in-services and training.
- Serve as Administrator on Call for the Campus for a one-week period
WHAT DO I NEED FOR THIS ROLE?
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of three years of healthcare finance preferred, preferably in long-term care or home and community-based services.
- Experience in Payroll Processing and Management.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office Applications required
- Demonstrated advanced analytical skills required.
- Demonstrated advanced Excel knowledge and skill to create management reports by effectively manipulating data and presenting it in an understandable and useful format.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and related accounting software preferred
- Working knowledge of automated invoice workflow system required.
- Experience with SAP Concur preferred.
- Working Knowledge of HRIS System Payroll Module. Experience with UltiPro preferred
- Ability to communication effectively speaking and writing clearly and concisely over the telephone and in person required.
- Excellent communication skills necessary to positively interact with residents, families, staff, and others to effectively resolve patient account issues.
- Must be able to foster and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships. Must be able to function as a positive member of the leadership team.
- Must interact professionally with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
- Demonstrated competencies in leadership, organization, and planning.
