    Westminster Schools of Augusta

    Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through 12 regionally-accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling over 500 students. The 34-acre campus is located in a residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia's second largest metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA), but the student body and faculty include members from more than 90 different local churches of various denominations.

    The Assistant Coaching position in the Athletic Department at Westminster exists to coach Westminster students who choose to participate in the baseball program.

    This position is for the 2024 Baseball Season and will be a paid position that will be combined with one of our current teaching or administration positions depending on the candidate's experience and giftings. If a teaching position is unavailable or the applicant is employed outside of the education field, we will consider a community coach.

    • Bachelors required

    Experience

    • Baseball coaching experience

    • Experience in mentoring and discipling student-athletes

    Skills and Abilities

    • Must be able to relate with high school student-athletes

    • Ability to effectively communicate with parents and other coaches

    Essential Job Functions

    • Organization and development of program staff in collaboration with the Athletic Department

    • Development and implementation of daily practices

    • Scouting of upcoming opponents and implementation of game plan

    • Intentional development of athletes’ faith and Christian character

    • Helping athletes develop their God-given abilities to the fullest

    • Being a positive role model for all of the student-athletes at the school

    • Film breakdown and game analysis

    • Management of program budget

    • Know, understand and educate coaching staff on GISA rules and regulations

    • Complete administrative elements necessary for advancement of program

    • Be committed to partnering with parents

    • Assist athletes and families in College Recruiting process when applicable

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Advise athletes on the proper use of baseball equipment

    • Champion the Westminster culture and the Wildcat Way

    • Be a contributing member of the Westminster community

    • Provide a presence at various Westminster functions as communicated in advance by the Athletic Department
