    The Oaks at Nipomo, a Westmont Living Community, is looking for a Resident Services Director in Assisted Living (Assisted Living Nurse  (LVN REQUIRED)) at our Memory Care Community.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position is responsible for directing, controlling, managing, and effectively assuring that systems are in place to provide for quality assisted living and memory care services. This is accomplished through promoting Westmont Living’s Service Promise and Service Standards.

    RESIDENT CARE ASSESSMENTS/REASSESSMENTS

    • The Resident Services Director is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely assessments of all
    • residents and prospective residents.
    • Direct, supervise and develop and implement resident care systems
    • Completes pre-placement assessments and needs and service plans; inputs obtained data into
    • the Right Click system
    • Assures resident care and services meets acceptable standards and follows best practices
    • Coordinates and communicates resident care needs with resident and their responsible party
    • Manages all medications for residents residing in licensed areas.

    COMMUNICATION

    • The Resident Services Director is responsible for communicating with residents, families and all health care professionals regarding a residents care needs.
    • Communicates resident care needs with physicians and other health care providers and obtains medical records necessary to determine potential resident’s appropriateness for community and to develop needs and service plans.
    • Communicates resident’s change in condition or adverse reactions to medications with health care professionals.

    TEAM MEMBER PERFORMANCE AND SCHEDULING 

    • The Resident Services Director is responsible for ensuring there is adequate team member coverage to provide quality care for all residents.
    • Creates and maintains appropriate staffing schedules at levels within budget to meet resident
    • needs in assisted living.
    • Oversees and ensures that appropriate staffing schedules are at levels within budget and meets the needs of residents in the memory care units.
    • Provides supervision, training, evaluation and discipline of team members to assure proper resident care and care of residents in memory care.
    • Trains new and existing team members in regards to regulatory standards and policy and procedures.

    REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

    • The Resident Services Director is responsible to ensuring that all state and health and safety regulations are followed.
    • Ensures acceptance and retention of all resident’s meets state or governing bodies’ requirements.
    • Maintain regulatory compliance with all agencies.
    • Assures proper documentation meets standards of practice.

     

    IN ORDER TO JOIN OUR REMARKABLE TEAM YOU MUST:

    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the State Licensing Agency where the community is  located. 
    • Current and valid Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Administrator Certification (RCFE), or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. 
    • Preferred Assisted Living Experience preferred.
    • Able to communicate written and orally in English.
    • Within 30 days of hire be certified in CPR and First Aid
    • Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations.
    • Available for on-call duties.
    • Management and supervising experience (1 year minimum), including hiring, training and coaching and counseling.
    • Able to actively foster and cultivate a team and community culture that is consistent with the Westmont Living Service Standards.
    • Able to exhibit good business judgment and have strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with multiple priorities.
    • Able to demonstrate ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with minimal supervision.
