Organization: We are an independent public charity and are not part of any federal, state, county park system or part of a larger charitable organization. Founded in 1957, we have 7.5 miles of trails, a Nature Museum, and 640 acres of land. Job description: Westmoreland Sanctuary is seeking an intern who is currently enrolled in a college, masters or PhD academic program. This is for a 6-8 week summer or fall internship. Focus of work will be on a riparian stream habitat restoration project. This will include but not limited to: - manually pulling out invasive plants - planting native plants - testing water quality - deer fencing - recording/reporting wildlife - take complete field notes and transfer data into the Westmoreland Sanctuary Natural Resource Management Plan Stipend will be commensurate with experience. Payment will be made at the end of the internship and there will an opportunity to receive a performance-based bonus.
